Gay Hanson

Gay is the secretary of the Fibromyalgia Information Foundation, and was Dr. Robert Bennett's Division Manager in the Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases Clinic at OHSU for some 15 years.

She was of invaluable assistance to Drs. Robert Bennett and Sharon Clark in organizing the first multi-disciplinary fibromyalgia treatment program in the US. She worked closely with staff and patients to ensure the clinic's smooth operation, and is warmly remembered by former patients.

She was also instrumental in keeping accurate data for future articles and research development, and was a vital member of Dr. Bennett's fibromyalgia research team.

Gay has been a volunteer on the  Board of Directors of the Fibromyalgia Information Foundation since it was established in 1995 (then called the Oregon Fibromyalgia Foundation). She shares a passion for fibromyalgia education, treatment and research, which continues in her retirement.
